ScrewedThey're suing us.
We have 5 days to pay 48,000 dollars.
I don't know what we're going to do.
If anyone has any support, advice, or anything, we really, really need it right now. We're in dire straits and we can't afford any of this.

They are using us for my father's open heart surgery bills.
Yes. we -DID- have insurance. The Veterans Affairs (VA) are refusing to pay for my father's hospital bills because, as they put it, we didn't abide by their "protocol".

i dont think it should be legal for hospitals to sue people for money.. i mean really if people had that kind of money laying around they would have insurance and wouldnt rack up that kind of bill!
